Backflow testing
A backflow prevention assembly is tested to show it still stops water from reversing into the public supply. The launch cities publish who may submit those tests.
Fire extinguisher inspection
Portable fire extinguishers are a different license from a backflow test. This site does not yet list extinguisher companies, because no official city roster was imported.
Fire sprinkler inspection
Fire sprinkler systems are inspected on a fire-code schedule. A backflow assembly on a fire line is often tested from the same property, but the city backflow list is not a sprinkler-license list.
How a listing gets here
- The importer downloads the official PDF and keeps only rows it can read from that file.
- Each profile shows the source, the list date, and a claim form.
- The city does not endorse a business because it appears here.
- Fire extinguisher companies stay off the site until a public roster is fetched. That gap is marked TODO in the importer.
